S2S Wire Rope Corrosion Control is formulated to remove water and oxygen from metal surfaces, creating a protective barrier that prevents rust.  The coating prevents seizing and penetrates wire fibers to form a flexible film that holds up against harsh conditions.

Use a sprayer, brush, or dunk chains directly into the coating to apply.

Instructions:

To brush

  • Dip any type of nylon paint brush into the coating.
  • Brush a thick coat over problem areas, edges, cracks, and welds.
  • Apply additional layers to extremely old or porous metals.

To spray

  • Spray at a 90-degree angle to minimize overspray.
  • Make at least two-to-three passes to reach minimum thickness.
  • Complete additional passes to extremely old or porous metals.

To dunk

  • Lower chain slowly into a tank or container by using a crane or winch.
  • Let chain or wire rope soak thoroughly.
  • For old or porous metal, let soak for several hours.
